Future charging infrastructure had to be planned around three operational logistics facilities. The project teams needed accurate existing-condition information before engineering could move forward.

A major modernisation was being planned for an existing, operational logistics facility. Existing drawings could not provide the level of certainty required for detailed design. The teams needed verified information about what was actually on site.
One capture. Seven discipline models.
RESCAN captured the facility using high-density 3D laser scanning and delivered the registered point cloud within 10 working days. We then produced existing-condition models for Architecture, Structure, Ventilation, Electrical, Sprinkler, Plumbing and Refrigeration. Within 60 working days, the completed models were delivered to the respective project teams for continued design.
The value was not the scan. It was turning verified site conditions into information the project teams could design from. Teams could inspect, measure and verify conditions remotely, reducing reliance on existing drawings and repeated site checks. Fewer assumptions. Better coordination. Better information before decisions become expensive to change.

With properties located across a wide geographical area, even simple verification work could require significant travel. Outdated or incomplete drawings also created uncertainty when planning maintenance and renovations.

Across a large property portfolio, outdated or inconsistent drawings create the same problem repeatedly: every lease, renovation or redevelopment can begin with uncertainty about the existing building. Reliable existing-condition data was needed across properties with different ages, uses and conditions.

RESCAN initially captured and modelled approximately 72,000 m² of commercial properties across southern Sweden. The collaboration continued with a further 40,000 m² across the portfolio, including commercial properties, development projects, tenant-adapted premises and selected residential assets. RESCAN delivered verified point clouds, accurate as-built documentation and Revit models, giving project teams a consistent starting point across the portfolio.
The value was not documenting individual buildings. It was creating reliable and consistent building information across the portfolio.
